• Power Negation: Nicolaus' cells naturally produce a chemical called Annulitonin. This chemical is capable of affecting any mutant that Zero comes in contact with, effectively blocking completely or dampening the targeted mutant's ability to use his or her power for a temporary length of time.
  
  
  • Infecting: Through physical contact, he can use the unique enzyme inside of him to infiltrate the body of a mutant like himself. This prevents such a mutant from using his or her power temporarily, depending mainly on how long Zero remains in contact with the victim. Every second that he is physically touching another mutant adds on another minute that their power cannot be activated. So, if he hangs onto a mutant for sixty seconds, they would not be able to access their power for an hour.
    
  • Negating: The chemical is constantly present in Zero's body and he is capable of controlling it to act as a sort of pheromone. When he is using this aspect of his ability, the chemical is capable of affecting any mutant within a five meter radius of him, thus preventing mutants from using their abilities, or for very powerful mutants, dampening their powers. This method, however, does not last as long as when he physically touches a person to infect them. It will dampen a mutant's powers only for so long as they are close to him, but if they get far enough away that they are no longer within five meters of him, then their powers will come back near instantaneously.
