Vincent slayed back on a bench in the middle of the mall looking straight up at the sky light, just thinking of what it would be like to just fly through the air like all of the bird he was able to control. Oh how he longed the freedom of flying thought the sky. He longed for it so much he started day dreaming about him just floating up from the bench he was sitting on and flying right through the sky light. He blasted off into the air, feeling free and weightless. He felt so blissful, he just could not describe how he was feeling. But this lovely daydream was quickly stopped when he heard the search of his loyal pet. This noise forced him back to the world, arriving back in the real world just in time to see Night rocketing through the mall, heading straight for Vincent. “Night what are you doing?” He said out loud to Night as if he was a person, which he was to Vincent. He had no idea why Night had followed him into the mall, he could have sworn that he told him to stay outside.
Nonetheless he was in here now and seemed to be angry, and going in for the kill, as such Vincent sat up to look around for what he could be aiming for. He didn’t see much of anything, in fact it was a rather slow day at the mall. That was until he looked down to see a little boy who seemed to have wonder over to him while he was day dreaming. That was the target, this kid got to close to Vincent, “Oh, so that's why your here, you must have seen this all happening through the skylight.” With all the information now in hand, Vincent simply smiled and said “Night cut it out, and just land on the bench.” He did not need to say anything, but he felt with Night it was a matter of respect to talk to him. As soon as Vincent said this Night changed his tertiary and slowed his speed sown. He then swooped up and landed next to Vincent on the bench.
“Good, although you should not be in here...Oh well, want to get something to eat?” Vincent said to Night, who screeched as soon as Vincent asked him if he wanted food. “Yeah I thought you would say that” He said with a slight chuckle, “Okay to the food court.” He said Shooting off the bench, with his arm out pointing in the direction of the food court. He then started to walk, as Night hoped off the bench and flew around above him. The entire time this was happening everyone in the mall looked at Vincent like he was a crazy person. Vincent ignored all of them, he had his best friend night, and was getting food soon he was happy and content.

Birds aren't supposed to eat human food," Lizzy said. Her tone now was as sharp as knives. Elizabeth didn't really care to associate herself with mutants, and rarely ever did. Especially not ones like Vincent, who were so apparently open with their abilities. If she were more open with her abilities, she wondered if she ever would have been able to be elected as North Salem High School's class president. Well, really she didn't wonder. She knew that she never could have been. Mutants were highly discriminated against, even despite the fact that the school allows them to attend. Elizabeth sighed. She was currently still in her Game Stop uniform. She had been working at the store for a few months now, ever since she had turned 15 years old and been allowed a job. Of course, most would know that she didn't actually have to work there. She was one of the more wealthy students in the class. The true reason she worked there was so that she would have something to do and be able to keep up with all of the new videogames coming out as they did so. Elizabeth shook her head as she held her attention on Vincent. That boy. He was so stupid. To use his powers so openly. Granted, a lot of mutants were doing that now-a-days, but didn't they realize that it would only make their lives that much harder? Mutants were going to lose more and more rights by the month, and things weren't going to get better any time soon. At least, that was Elizabeth's take on the subject. "You should be more careful. Birds aren't even allowed in a place like this," she warned him. "You should take him home before something happens."[/style][style=font-family: Arial; font-size: 10px; color: #5a5a5a; text-align: center; text-shadow: 1px 1px 0px #ffffff;] CREDITS • made by lovesolfege from OTE[/style] |

Vincent just walked down through the mall when he heard voice, a familiar voice. It was someone he knew, from where, how and any other facts about this person were a mystery. That was until he looked over the girl in the game stop uniform, “Lizzy, is that you?” He said stopping his walking as he heard he talk on, all about the trouble he would get into and other stuff. He was only half listening to her at this point. He was not trying to be rude or anything, he would normally be listening to her completely if he could. But right now he had food on the mind, particularly pizza, and a nice big chicken leg for Night. It was clouding his mind, he was wanting it so much at this point that he was starting to smell it, and he almost missed all of what Lizzy said. Lucky for him he tuned back in for the last part. Although he missed the tone completely, he thought she was just informing him of thing that he should know and not being angry with him.
“Oh relax, Night is perfectly nice, he wont hurt anyone, besides they have other animals in here, not three stores that way there is a pet shop. So I am sure they wont mind.” Vincent didn't think that anything was wrong, sure Night should have stayed outside, but he was here now so he was just rolling with. Night just then flew down and landed on Vincent shoulder almost to show just how good he could be. “See he is a very good bird, much better then some people I know” He said kind of as a joke but its a truth. But those are the kind of people you meet living at a house full of mutants. Although they still all see him as the weird one when they say break the walls when they are upset.
Nonetheless he didn't really understand why she greeted him like she did, it was just a bird, he knew full well that their where plenty of birds in the mall, most of them living up in the roof of the mall. Wait did she say something about food He thought trying to remember if she had said something. He tried and tried but he could not think of just what she said, so he just spoke on the fact that he knew she said something about food “So yeah we are going to grab some food, he will likely want chicken again, he loves KFC for some reason, I was really craving pizza. Wanna come?” He said with a smile, not knowing that Lizzy was a little angered by his over all open use of his powers.

No..."Elizabeth said, turning her head stubbornly to the side. Why she had invited this social interaction she did not even know. She wasn't exactly a fan of interacting with mutants, and the way that he felt he could talk to her as if they were friends was almost infuriating. Mutants from the Xavier Academy were of the worst kind, simply because they opened themselves up for the public eye and allowed the public to judge them as the standard for all mutants. No handful of people should have that responsibility... A brief few moments passed and she returned her attention to the bird upon his shoulder. It appeared that he did not understand the difference between domestic animals and wild ones. Regardless of his mutation, whatever that may be, there were still social standards. And a fifteen or sixteen year old boy with a wild animal was nothing that coincided with the norm. "Dinner? With a freak like you? No thank you," Elizabeth said.Sure, this was rude of her, and she knew it, but hopefully it would help him to grow up and mature more. hopefully it would teach him to at least make a tiny attempt to conceal his powers. If he didn't... well, bad things could happen to him and that little bird friend of his. Huh...no Vincent was baffled by the no, he was a nice enough guy, he was nice to look at so it's not like he was hard on the eyes. Wait does she think I am hitting on her...well I did just invite her to lunch, but how could she think of that as me making a move He thought more about it, the less he thought that was what it could be, but then he ran into a bit of a problem. He started to think about just how he would make a move on someone, wondering if he would be so forward or just hope the guy noticed him making eyes at him. His thought drifted more in that direction and out the conversation at had, kind of just going silent for a bit after Lizzy spoke. He stood there lost in thought and motionless, not long enough for people to stare or from a crowed, but long enough for someone talking to him to notice.
He likely would have been lost in thought for ever had his trust friend and pet Night not spoke up with a load shriek bring him out of his head and back to the rest of the world. “Huh what's going on” He said readjusting to the normal world. “Sorry about that kind of go lost in thought their, also if you don’t mind, could you clarify something for me, you not going with me was for something other than you thinking this was me asking you out or something right?” He figured he had thought about it long enough and needed to just ask the question already. “I mean sure you just kinda called me a freak, which I don't totally get, cause lots of guys have pet birds. Plus people bring their pets everywhere, why can't I. I really do see why I the freak just because of that. He was a but scatter brained at this point jumping from topic to topic trying to address what all she said. “Also to make things clear, i was not asking you to dinner, I was thinking you might want to grab a bit with me and become friends or something. I always thought you where pretty nice at school, figure hey good friend you would make.”
He had addressed pretty much everything, other than the last bit about not being a mutant lover, something that completely threw him. I didn't peg her for the mutant hating type, she was nice to everyone in school. “Who said anything about mutant lover, I was just hoping for a bit of conversation, having a nice pizza, and getting to know Lizzy. I thought you would be okay with that, but it seems I was mistaken” This last topic did anger him a little, given that even if he was a rather mellow kid he was not a fan of being bashed just for being a mutant. He would have been fine if it was just about his bird, or something he did. Those where things he choice to do or have and he could take that, but he would not hear it for something he was not matter what he wanted. “But I guess if you wont join me I might just have to call some other friends” He said bluffing, just to see what she would do, or what she thought he would do.

It actually slightly took Elizabeth off guard. She hadn't been expecting for him to have such a reaction. In fact, she was hoping that he'd simply be sumbissive about it, let the bird fly away, and continue on his way. Making a scene, or continuing this conversation going would likely only make those around think that she was associating with someone like him... a mutant. Shifty eyes would examine her environment. Elizabeth looked around for any signs that someone she knew could be anywhere nearby. A quick few glances indicated that her answer was negative. Unfortunately, however, there were so many people here she couldn't possibly hope to identify everyone in this environment. "Listen, my reputation cannot afford this," she spoke in a hushed whisper. “Really you are worried about your reputation, then why would you talk to me at all?” Vincent didn't really get it, all she seemed to be doing was telling him what to do, being rather mean about it. On top of that she insulates him over nothing, what did he do wrong. Vincent just didn't know why this was all happening, he was being nothing but nice, he had not insulted her, he had only offered her an olive branch and she used a flamethrower on it. This was not how Vincent planned to spend his day, he thought he was just in for a relaxing day at the mall, sure he was going on no sleep since the students who lived with him at the academy were not so good a the being quiet thing but still.
He was their just to get out and into the world, be free like a bird as it were. He really liked being out and about, something the got him in trouble sometimes. He loved to sneak out past his curfew and just wonder the streets with nothing but the sounds of cricks and Night for company. This was something that the teachers and temporary guardians hated with a passion, but he was crafty enough to trick them some how, even the ones reading his mind, must have something to do with his mental abilities or something.
Nonetheless he was not here today to be talked down to, and if he hadn't had next to no sleep he would have likely just let this all go. But today was a grumpy day for him, and he was not going to let it fly. “Well I guess if just talking to me would hurt your rep, how much would it hurt your rep if i made a parrot follow you around saying you a mutant love would hurt that little rep of yours.” Lizzy had really picked the wrong day to talk down to a guy who could really have fun making her life a social nightmare. “Hey Night want to go give her new winged friend a hand getting out of its caged.” He said sending Night to the pet store down the path way a little, only to sit on the parrot cage, and wait for the order to open it.

She considered herself to be a pretty powerful person, and people diminishing her significance would never go over well with her. And yet, this boy here thought that he could do so. Why? Simply because he was a mutant? Simply because he had the power to do it? Apparently so. She wouldn't put up with such nonsense. Such stubbornness, and she definitely wasn't going to let him. She placed her hands on her hips and stared him down with a menacing frown. Her eyes had only diverted momentarily as the boy's bird flew over to a parrot cage. "Is that a threat, you little freak?" Lizzy questioned. Yeah, sure, she couldn't consider him little being that he was a great deal taller than her, but that was aside from the point. She could still express her distaste for him with such simple words. And as far as significance, he was much smaller than her, or at least that was how she reasoned it. Her hands remained on her hips and her frown didn't die away. "I dare you. Just try it, and I might call animal control on that little hawk friend of yours.... or who knows, maybe he'll come down with food poisoning," Lizzy returned his threat. Yeah, she could play dirty. She wouldn't kill a human, but his bird... well, he may want to watch out. Of course, Lizzy also had her powers to rely on and could fight back using those, but she'd never do that out in the open. It'd be much too dangerous. "I promise if you even try it I'll making the rest of your high school career a living hell."[/style][style=font-family: Arial; font-size: 10px; color: #5a5a5a; text-align: center; text-shadow: 1px 1px 0px #ffffff;] CREDITS • made by lovesolfege from OTE[/style] |

Vincent may have been just grumpy before, but with the threat she just made to his best friend, and the closest thing he had to family in the town made him mad. Being mad was not something he did very often, sure he got grumpy but never truly mad, there was only really one thing that made him mad and that was threatening his family and friends. His eyes started to glare at this girl who was threatening him right now and he was never planning on hurting her. He was only threatening her reputation, something that at least to him was meaningless, he just thought he would give her the feeling that she gave him by calling him a freak, a girl he only knew the name of from school.
“You would hurt someone so bad just for your reputation, really that's how you see things. You really think that how people see you matters more than the well-being of someone. And then not only would you hurt me and Night be having people tear us apart, but you threatened his life. How dare you think you reputation more important then his life, he lives he breathes, he is my friend. How could you ever threaten his life. I only spoke of you being bother at school, and you go straight for my throat.” Vincent was no longer just playing around and wanting to just to bug her for a bit, he was now started to think just how he could really hurt her, and this was something that was not good.
She also said like it matter how she could make his life at a school, and how she could make it a living hell. “Lastly you really think you can do anything to me at school really, I am openly a mutant, i am failing most of my classes. Teachers hate me, students hate me, and most of my fellow mutants hate me just for using my powers freely. How could you do anything that is not already being done, hell I am already in detention for the next month for skipping full days of school. You really think that school matters at all” With the declaration his eyes started to water, both from anger and from him jut yelling this to the whole world. Normally he didn't let that kind of stuff get to him, but being tired and angry really makes him emotionally vulnerable. He then used the long sleeve of his shirt to wipe the forming tears from is eyes, this girl was really getting to him.

Lizzy didn't budge at all. Throughout his little speech, she remained in the exact same position, her hands on her hips, that menacing glare, and red with fury. Perhaps she didn't hate him, but she certainly didn't like him at all. He was perhaps the most annoying person she had ever met. He used his ridiculous powers in public, which was not only weird and unnecessary, but completely irresponsible and bad for his image and future. She didn't understand why someone like him, who could otherwise keep his mutation secret, would choose to show it to the world as he did. It was unfathomable to her. And here, he thought reputation meant nothing. But she was 100% certain that reputation meant more than the life of some bird. The two of them couldn't see eye to eye and never would be able to if he had such a way of thinking. Maybe it was his mutation which caused him to shift his view... but only moments ago, hadn't he been talking about eating chicken? Then he couldn't view birds on the level of humans. Not at all. Elizabeth simply shook her head. She noticed the minor watering in his eyes "You talk waaaay too much. And crying already? What a wimp. I thought you were supposed to be a man, not a baby," she taunted him. Immature, perhaps, but nobody else would even be here to hear her. She approached him, making her way closer to him. And once there, she stuck out her index finger and poked him in the center of the chest a few times quite firmly to emphasize her point. "I work hard to have what I have and if you ever try to do anything to jeopardize my career, I will end you."[/style][style=font-family: Arial; font-size: 10px; color: #5a5a5a; text-align: center; text-shadow: 1px 1px 0px #ffffff;] CREDITS • made by lovesolfege from OTE[/style] |

A baby, she thought he was a baby for a simple tear, no not even that, he never shed one tear. She thought him a baby because was emotional, she thought him a wimp for what he had done. She thought males showing emotion like this was weakness, this girl was really getting to Vincent, and in no good ways. In his eyes this girl was a mutant hating bitch with a superiority complex. He didn't know what was wrong with her, she had done nothing by place herself above him by knocking him down with insults. She brought words out of him in a public setting that he kept private, and yet this just made her keep going, taking his weak points and rubbing it in his face .
She really didn't like him, he didn't really know why, cause it seemed it was something more than just him being a mutant, or his threats. Whatever it was that she had a problem with it seemed to be something that he could not change and some how just kept making things worse for this conversation. This conversation was really putting his emotions through the ringing, going back from sad to mad and back to sad again. “Yeah I do talk a lot, but that because that's all I can do, if I so much as made a real threatening act other than my words and minor pranks I would be a wanted criminal. Just some evil mutant who hurt the poor girl who was trying to help him and yes I cried, what of it. I like everyone else have emotions and dealing with you brings out all the bad ones in me” He would not let her talk down to him for crying.
“As for all this work you have put in to your career or whatever, if my actions could somehow stop it from happening maybe it just wasn't something you really wanted. Why would some freak be a threat to you, you have all you ever wanted, what would my little threat do to you anyway, other than to give you an embarrassing story to tell your friends later. To think I thought you where nice."

But there was more toit than that. It was his stubborn opposition which simply didn't seem to want to die down either. At this point, she was tired of listening to him. He seemed like the type of person who could hold a conversation by himself. She withdrew her finger from his chest and crossed her arms. Did she have everything she'd ever wanted? Obviously not. She was only in high school. Life didn't end there, and she had to continue working. This guy just didn't get it. She shook her head and turned away. "Whatever... last time I try to help you with anything," she stated before turning around and beginning to walk away. She raised her right hand to wave the back of her hand in an obligatory goodbye. Lizzy seemed to finally be fed up being the good girl trying to help the poor misguided boy out. She seemed to be fed up with everything and decided to get out of there as fast as she could. This would be for the best, sure in his mind Vincent was still filled with conflicting emotions, and felt like he had more to say. But with her leaving that would allow him to calm down, it would help him get over this who situation before he did something he would regret, before he did something that would get him in more trouble with the professor, before he would make a bad name for mutants everywhere.
“I never asked for your help, I don't need your help and I don't want it Those where the last words he would be saying to her.
