Her hair is incredibly long, reaching past her waist, and it is the color of the midnight sky when it is very dark at night. Her tongue is forked, like that of a lizard and her teeth are like fangs. Her appearance is like her age, a young, beautiful teenage girl, and she as bright red eyes and a long, slim tail which she keeps hidden in her pants. Underneath her hair, her ears are pointed, like that of an elf's. She is extremely thin and her metabolism is very fast. Her height is 5'6", being taller than average girls her age. She has a red and dark gray striped long-sleeve shirt and wears gray-blue jeans that are ripped at the knees. Naitlya's body is specifically built to endure teleportation, thus it can be tricky for any passangers who are at risk of severe exhaustion and even unconsciousness if not prepared. Superhuman agility, dexterity and flexibility are allowed by her unique bone structure and muscles, a prehensile tail that is strong enough to support the weight of a full grown man, glowing red eyes grant her a marked degree of heightened night vision, and adhesive hands and feet. These are the things Naitlya Kurtiss has been called since her birth. She was born in Germany to her mother, another unknown mutant, and her father, a Neyaphem named Azazel. The people of the village where she was born was superstitious and thought she was the devil's child. To save herself, the mutant mother threw Naitlya down a well. But her father saved her from the fall and gave her to a gypsy sorceress named Margali Szardos to raise the girl as her own in a traveling circus. Growing up in the circus, she learned many acrobatic and gymnastic skills, and performed with them as one of their main acts. Circus audiences assumed that she was a normal-looking human wearing a devil-like costume. She was treated fairly because nobody in the circus discriminated against mutants such as Naitlya. Fate would have this joyful time cut short. The circus was bought by a millionaire from America and wanted to put Naitlya in a freak show. He drugged her in an attempt to keep her from running away, but she was saved by an anonymous mutant. Having nowhere else to go, she decided to go back to Germany in search of her real family. There, she found a half-brother, but he was a madman and was going to kill children. Naitlya was forced to stop her half-brother and accidentally killed him. When the villagers found out about it, they thought that she was a blood thirsty demon from hell who loved slaughtering children and anyone else who got in her way. There was an entire man-hunt for her head! When they were about to kill her, she was saved by another Mutant. He was the professor of a school for the gifted, gifted just like her. He offered her the opportunity to learn more about herself, and she accepted. She made her way back to America, where was registered in the Mutant Registration Act, and lived with the X-men. Eventually, Naitlya was forced to go to school. She had never had an education before, so it was very difficult. Naytlia is a sophomore at North Salem High School. Naytlia attends a Catholic church near the school regularly and she has become a strong and faithful believer.
