Plot

Within the United States, tension has risen between humans and mutants alike. Many humans are afraid that the mutants will overthrow their government and potentially take over the world. Such fear has led to new laws, such as the Mutant Registration Act, requiring all mutants to identify themselves to the authorities or otherwise face a lifetime prison sentence. Those who do register are kept on a tight leash. The Government has even withheld basic legal rights from mutants, such as employment, voting, and education. Among this chaos, young mutants strive to have a simple life. Persuaded by Professor Charles Xavier, Northview High School has become an inclusion school for both, "normal" children and mutants (who otherwise would be denied a public education). Because of this, the school is now being carefully watched by the media, journalists, and politicians. Some want to use it as an example to prove that humans and mutants can coexist, while others expect the school to crumble down to chaos for having allowed those mutants to attend. Either way, what happens at Northview High School may shape the future of mutants everywhere.
