Finally! Getting out of the house was a relief. Yukanna loved the outdoors – not only for the freedom it offered but for also an escape from the four walled prison. She wasn’t exceptionally good with socializing and it wasn’t the reason she got. Instead, the tedious task of grocery shopping she was assigned sounded better than the shack she called home. The market street wasn’t something she liked to enter. The overcrowded mini mall had a horrible stench of decaying vegetables. The girl had a tough time selecting good greens. There were hardly any good fruits either, yet the lower class of society had to make do with. Checking through her list for the last time as she made her way to the counter, Yuka actually paid for the groceries. Not because she couldn’t get through the mini-mall securities. Oh no, she had gone through much more without being detected in the past. Instead it was to earn her parents trust that she dropped the habit back at Connecticut. Hopefully, they believed her even though it was far from the truth.
Exciting the mall, the girl had a long distance to walk back to her apartment at Riverwood. It seemed getting here was easier, but going back with the entire luggage seemed too exerting for the young woman. The girl looked around spotting a long line of waiting taxis for customers like her. But again it the same cost - money. And she didn’t feel too comfortable with strangers in the same car. And then she found her solution – an abandoned shopping trolley parked near an alley. If she could load her bags in there, perhaps getting back home would be easier. Slowly making her way to the trolley, the girl took a look around to see if anyone was watching. The coast seemed clear.
Quickly loaded her shopping bags in the trolley, the girl zoomed off into the streets swiftly making her way through the corners. The alley seemed perfect, there was hardly anyone around to bump into and she didn’t attract attention either. Taking another turn from the maze like corner streets, Yukanna was deep enough as she entered a large opening. The place was large yet walled by three sides with buildings and rubbish bins. There was a horrid stench of rotting rubbish that lingered in the air a garbage truck was parked nearby.‘’Dammit’’ it was her first in these alleys and she just followed her instinct – though they seemed to be of no use. . Slight exhaustion had taken over her from all the running and trying to control a trolley at the same time. Leaning on the wall closest to the alley exit, the young woman decided to take a break.

He followed the cute girls, attempted to look up their skirts any chance he got, taking mental picture of their posteriors in yoga pants, leggings, anything he could get his eyes on. It was also here that he had a good laugh playing jokes on people, throwing packets of condiments from the food court on the ground and watching people slip and fall, walking into stores and dismantling pieces of their displays so that they would fall with the slightest amount of pressure. He either loved it or hated it, he could not tell either way.
His disjointed mind got back on target and it was clear who his sights were on, a mutant named something something whatever that he had to capture but not kill. He sighed at the fact that he couldn’t kill her and he probably couldn’t have his way with her. He was discreet, clean, almost methodical in his pacing and mannerisms while stalking his prey. She was a fickle creature, a woman whom Hellion probably had wanted to kiss to some extent. He would probably stop him for killing her and the very thought of that caused his gloved hand to contract, hard into a balled up fist. As she made her way into the alley it was here that his chance was obvious. “Oy.” He called out to her, smiling, taking off his gloves a letting out a sigh of relief. Tracing his fingers along the wall as he came close to her, the small patches of vines and lichen that grew along the wall began to brow, decay and turn into dust nearly instantly. “I have something to show you! Why don’t we go back to my place?” He smiled at her, an almost wicked smile that seemed to be the face of death itself. Yukanna looked up at the call spotting a boy no older than her. Did he follow her? Or did she just enter his territory? It couldn’t be of the trolley as the only reason she chose the back lanes were to avoid colliding into people. Honestly. She never thought taking a trolley would be an actual crime – who bothered anyway? As he neared, the girl couldn’t help but watch his hand as they make quick job of the plants. There was slight fear in her eyes as the reality of facing a dangerous mutant sunk in. ’’Not Interested’’ the girl’s quick reply was accompanied by quickly creating an unnoticeable camouflage of herself. She created a duplicate of herself while the real Yuka quickly turned invisible by casting an illusion on the boy. It was done of pure defensive instinct. She didn’t know what he wanted. But the vibe he gave off wasn’t quite friendly.
Gently moving back and close to a nearby dumpster, Yukanna made her duplicate panic and run towards the alley exit and hoped the boy followed. It would be at least a five minute run before the illusion vanished. By then she hoped he would either leave or she would try and make a run for it before he returned to the opening. She put a lot into the illusion. If the boy somehow detected or saw through the illusion – then she would have to try on something different. She positioned herself behind the dumpster as she readied another illusion just in case he saw through it. She was sort of at a disadvantage as her powers relied on staying a safe distance.

Do you think I am some kind of fool?” Wither began to laugh out loud as the illusion ran past him, grabbing the arm of the illusionary girl and instantly decaying it into dust. Perhaps it was in his own mind but part of him knew she would be aware of what just happened. Unlucky for her however all members of his groups possessed psionic blocks that, while not perfect, were enough for them to see something fishy going on with their brain. The illusion to him looked like it was hazy, almost as if it was phasing out. The change was subtle but someone who paid attention to people would be able to see it. Laughing harder and more intense by the second, keeling over and holding his sides. The loud guffaw was nearly deafening in the side street, slapping his knee quickly. He walked over to the dumpster that she was hiding behind, though she tried to conceal herself the camouflage began to flicker and fade as he focused on it.
“You’re going to have to try something better than that. The boss won’t mind if I take an arm or two, hell maybe I’ll reduce all of your arms and legs to fucking dust!” His face twisting, staring down at the girl whom must have thought she was still cloaked but obviously she would know her cover had been blown. “As long as I don’t ruin too much of you my boss won’t mind, right? Right?” Holding out his hand again, slowly reaching down to the area she was occupying. He would teach her a lesson. A lesson that he loved to teach. His fingers seemed to bit a bit spastic, jumping around and cracking almost as if he was trying to fight back the urge to kill her. Seeing her illusion wither to dust send a chill down her spine. It just scared the girl more, although she tried not to panic. Her illusions were useless? He saw through them? She didn’t have any other skill other than with a pocket knife. And that too was quite risky. The teen laughed as if he already won this battle – the way that showed he was stronger. It somehow managed to annoy Yuka, yet she couldn’t help but stay where she was. It was probably fear that stunned her. However the girl wasn’t totally out of it.
Her eyes still set on the approaching boy, Yuka’s hand quickly searched around the mess for something to defend herself with. Her bare hand grabbed on to small garbage plastic. It stunk but it was easy to throw if needed. Still keeping her hand on it, but without movement her camouflage quickly dissolved as she knew her cover was blown. And then, it was time to react with the mutant bringing forth his hand. The girl quickly threw the black garbage bag at him in a linear motion bringing along enough force with it. She obviously knew it wouldn’t do much harm, but at least it could keep him occupied or startled for a minute enough to hide again.
Swiftly yet quietly making her way to the congregation of dumpsters deeper at the end of the square area clearing. The girl tried to think of an illusion or some plan to get her out of this mess. Her once again hid herself in between a few bags of rotten rubbish. The smell was unbearable, however she tried to suck it in and she observed the boy from behind the huge containers.
