Despite being a Morlock, Jubilee's appearance is relatively normal. She couldn't easily be picked out as a mutant just by sight. She is somewhat tall with long black hair and green eyes. Her nose is apparently sharp and meets at somewhat of a point. Jubilee wears long black pants, smooth leather boots, a tight black leather shirt, and a rain coat. Because of her poor vision, she also wears glasses.

Jubilation "Jubilee" Lee, the daughter of two prosperous Chinese immigrants, was born and raised in Beverly Hills, California, where she lived a charmed life. Jubilee attended an exclusive Beverly Hills private school and was believed to have the gymnastic potential to participate in the Olympic Games. All in one fateful weekend, however, Jubilee's family was mistaken for their neighbors, who shared the same surname. This resulted in hired hitmen killing Jubilee's parents instead. After witnessing the deaths of her parents, Jubilee fought back, able to remain even with her incredible gymnastic skills. Unfortunately, those weren't enough. She was soon cornered against a wall with the hitmen holding her up by her collar. In one last act of defiance, she spit on his face. What happened next was unanticipated. There was a large scale explosion, blowing up her entire house and the men completely, obliterating them without a trace.

Having heard screams for help some time before, Jubilee's neighbors had called the cops. By the time she had gotten outside, they were there waiting for her. However, they didn't believe the story she had to tell-the truth. Cops were convinced that she had blown up her own family, and because of this, she was forced to run away. They attempted to follow her, but using her saliva once more, she spit out explosive balls which blew up the police cars which resulted in the deaths of two cops.

The next few months were spent running. Jubilee had to run from the law, having been identified as one of "America's Most Wanted". In addition, she was a known mutant. She simply wished to get as far away from California as possible. Some few hitch-hikes and bus rides later, she had arrived in the small community of North Salem.

In North Salem, however, she noticed there was a bit of political unrest. Mutants had begun being treated unfairly, and some of the ugliest of their kind were being targeted as monsters. Attacked, and sometimes even beaten. Jubilee couldn't take this any longer. One particular day, she witnessed a man beating up on a beastial looking child. Jubilee interfered, and using her fireworks created a diversion to get away. Soon, however, they were being chased by cops. Desperate to escape, Jubilee and the young boy discretely slid into the sewers.

They explored the underground network for what was hours, hoping to avoid the police searching for them up above. It was down here that they came across an underground shelter. There was an entire network which nearly resembled a city down here. And whats more, the area also had plumbing. Jubilee decided to make this area her home. This would be her base, and all the while, she'd go to the surface world to protect mutants, and when necessary, bring them down to join her and her new group, the Morlocks.

Energy Plasmoids: Jubilee possesses the mutant ability to generate what she calls her "fireworks:" energy globules that vary in degrees of power and intensity. The globules obey her mental control, traveling where she directed them, arranging themselves in balls, streamers, and other shapes, and exploding when she wishes. These combinations can result in anything from a multitude of colorful sparkles capable of temporarily blinding a person to a fairly powerful detonation, capable of smashing tree trunks or metal objects. Jubilee can absorb the fireworks back into her own body without harm.

Bomb-Bombs: Jubilee can throw marble-sized energy bombs which she can detonate at will. The resulting explosion is low-impact but can cause minor burns and bruising.
Flash Bombs: Jubilee can throw marble-sized energy flash bombs which she can detonate at will. The resulting explosion will release a blinding flash of light. The color of said light can vary based on Jubilee's intended design.
