He is pale and has freckles EVERYWHERE. His eyes are blue with some slight violet tint in them. He is built much like any swimmer, tall, lanky, and really thin. He never grows any hair on his body except for on his head, so when he was young he was made fun of for apparently shaving his legs...needless to say he hardly ever wore shorts to school ever since. He can usually be seen in purple, whether it's his scarf that he always seems to be wearing, or his shirt, he ALWAYS wears his purple converse. His eyesight is terrible out of the water so he wears thick rimmed black glasses to help. He most often wears tight jeans, black skinny jeans, khaki cargo shorts with a variety of purple, white or black shirts. This is where his power comes in, out of the water, Eridan looks particularly normal, except when you look at his rib cage. He has five gill slits on each side of his body, they are small and fall just below his fourth rib. His hands are slightly webbed as are his toes, but in the water the webbing crawls up to his fingertips. The same is true for his feet, which look more like flippers in the water. His skin changes to look ashen almost grey, and the freckles look more like grey scales with a purple tint to them and fins run from the back of his ankle to just below his knee on his calf, he also gains them on his elbows. After a certain accident that exposed this to his entire PE class, he was transferred to the Academy. Their parents had met at some yacht party and hooked the two little ones up for playdates. She was the only one to ever know about his mutation...that is, until the end of his sophomore year of highschool. The last day, the senior class was about to pull the biggest prank in the school's history, they were going to open the gym pool, while the faculty was still on the gymfloor, needless to say the prank went swimmingly, but Eridan, his friend, and her lispy boyfriend were sitting at the perfect spot for another prank to take place. The boy stood and threw Eridan into the pool, he'd been wearing sandals, shorts, and a shortsleeved shirt...that didn't do him any good when his mutation started. At first, Eridan was too shocked to realize what had happened until everyone was out of the water, and at that point it was too late to hide. The underwater camera that was usually used to tape the swim team was now trained on him. His friend was watching from the poolside, and her boyfriend was laughing hysterically. He took one look at them, then the camera and hissed, flaring his violet fins and bearing sharpened teeth. That was all it took for his parents to ship him here to the Academy, to save Eridan and their family from further ridicule. Of course...Eridan thought they were angry with him and carted him here as punishment for something he couldn't control. He now holds his parents in contempt and has had no contact with his friend since he left.
